We are delighted to share that we are officially a B Corp!
Securing B Corp certification means that Purpose Capital Limited has been verified by the nonprofit B Lab as meeting high standards of social and environmental performance, accountability, and transparency. It signifies that we are not just driven by profit but also consider our impact on people and the planet (the ‘B’ stands for Benefit for all).
If you’re familiar with the process, you’ll know that it’s quite the journey – in our case more than a year of working through the process – but well worth it for what it signifies!
By taking the time to achieve this certification, we are joining a growing movement of people using business as a force for good.
This certification aligns with our value of integrity, which to us includes ‘walking the talk’. It is not enough that we invest impactfully, we must also show leadership in terms of how we operate our business. Being a B Corp is a journey, and we are committed to improvement, including recertifying every three years.
As an added bonus, Research by B Lab Global in 2023, showed that B Corps outperform “ordinary” businesses and are more resilient.
