What is Purpose Capital?
Purpose Capital are Impact Investors that drive positive environmental and social change in New Zealand. We are founded on the principle that we can effect positive change through well-run commercial investments that deliver social and environmental impact alongside financial return. By leading investment opportunities, we provide confidence to other investors to invest alongside us in impactful companies and projects.
Purpose Capital aims to increase the amount of capital invested in impact investments from asset and fund managers as well as private and philanthropic wealth.

Purpose Capital Foundation
Purpose Capital Limited (the Manager of the Purpose Capital Impact Funds) is owned by the Purpose Capital Foundation, a charitable trust. 20% of profits generated by the Fund Manager will be retained by the Foundation to advance impact investing in New Zealand.
Sustainable Finance Limited
To maintain energy transition momentum and to ensure that there is significant capital available to meet this opportunity, Purpose Capital (the Manager of the Purpose Capital Impact Funds) has recently established Sustainable Finance Limited (Sustainable Finance), a joint venture with Quadrent Limited (Quadrent). Quadrent, a B Corp certified business, is an experienced asset financier with a significant portfolio of assets under management.
Many of the renewable energy and energy transition opportunities which Purpose Capital evaluates will require relatively lower risk, debt funding that Fund 2 is not able, for reasons of both scale and return, to provide.
Sustainable Finance, which has funding lines with a number of major financial institutions, provides asset finance and project finance, in the form of senior debt funding, to businesses and projects engaged in the delivery of renewable energy and energy transition projects.
The opportunity for Purpose Capital and Sustainable Finance to collaborate and to jointly provide projects and businesses with end-to-end capital solutions for their funding requirements is significant.
